Konstantin Olmezov RIP
- app4soft 5y agoKonstantin Olmezov, Ukrainian mathematician who lived in Russia & was pressured for his pro-Ukraine views, committed suicide. Translated from Konstantin Olmezov's farewell note: > “I was born in Ukraine on 1995. I graduated from Donetsk national technical university 2016 by programming specialization. in 2014-2015 I studied one year in Yandex School of data analysis”[0] > “I’m an atheist. So, I depart into nowhere. But this nowhere’s better than the savagery of today’s #Russia”[1] Full farewell note translation to English:[2] [0] https://twitter.com/Gala_Shine/status/1505726465119330306 https://twitter.com/Gala_Shine/status/1505726465119330306 [1] https://twitter.com/olex_scherba/status/1505640759097278464 https://twitter.com/olex_scherba/status/1505640759097278464 [2] https://twitter.com/Bobserving/status/1505664707956514816 https://twitter.com/Bobserving/status/1505664707956514816

- aspenmayer 5y agoI was posting to help users find relevant content. I don’t disagree with you. It’s hard to say if it’s a dupe, as it could really go either way. Different contexts and levels of detail.
- AIorNot 5y agoAll wars are terrible, yet people ultimately love to celebrate them by framing them in terms of patriotism, defense and vengeance - the honest truth is that it is such an incredible waste that so many people are dying over such a needless war in one way or another.. RIP to this man
