A while back I made a units and dimensions library where I worked. Everything was built into the type system, with a required SI conversion for each unit of a certain dimension. This did the job really well, but it was incomplete. Being able to create new types dynamically, when multiplying/dividing was something that was always missing. I guess now you could probably do this with macro programming, but back then I don’t think my language had it.
