- loeg 5y agoThe point of bail isn't to keep people who shouldn't be released in prison solely because of their inability to pay -- it's to help ensure people who are safe to release show up for their trial. People that should not be released on low bail shouldn't have higher bail -- they should not be granted bail at all.
