They are except when they're not. Plenty of NFTs are on-chain. Also, if nothing else, they've provided a lot of creatives an opportunity to get compensated for their work. The "art" NFT eco-system is very much akin to a patreon of sorts. I don't see how that's a bad thing.
- Naijoko 5y agook didnt know that. But honstly I blindly asume that the capacity/cost ratio is still way higher compared to a non Blockchain system with same conditions. Thats generaly the problem. There are many solutions for a problem but there isnt a problem where blockchain and crypto are the best solution. They are mostly on the worse side of solutions....
