Saying no to just block a public infrastructure project is just malicious. As long as people are paid for a new property and inconvenience it's fine. Nobody should be able to block a project that benefits the society as a whole. Communist party or not, a person should not be capable of blocking a project that benefits the whole country just because <insert random reason here>. Romania does have a lot of issues with motorway developments because of speciments like this. After the first major one that blocked the Bucharest-Constanta motorway for years, the gov't passed a law that allows them to just take the property and pay market prices. As it should be.
