Fears that dash for wind power could endanger lost world of Doggerland
- ggm 5y agoI love archaeology. I have an archaeologist in the family. This is fucking nuts. Doggerland is vast, the % loss to the seabed from windpower and associated infrastructure compared to 100 years of badly managed bottom trawling is pins to haystacks. There are ways to do conservation checks, and the impact of anthropogenic fuel burden outweighs this concern. Move on. So what's your real story? They need funds to do the dig work. It's not "don't do wind" it's "please fund archeology" which is what the article ends with. This is guardian click bait. And, I am a subscriber. I wish they wouldn't do this.
