Mitsuhiko on anti-vax groups now spreading pro-Russia conspiracy theories
- keewee7 5y agoI have noticed the same here in Denmark. Also a big thanks to @mitsuhiko for creating the Flask framework.
- ordu 5y ago> Any wrong doings of authoritarian state being covered in a pile of "whataboutism", any mistake of west inflated into mortal sin. Lately seeing a "whataboutism" from a random person in Internet I end communication unconditionally because it seems a distinct feature of Russian propaganda. It is it's main weapon and if person is slipping on it then it is either a worker from a troll-farm, or a person brainwashed by a Russian propaganda precisely because he/she believes that whataboutism is a good argument. It is Russian exceptionalism at work, I believe. The thought goes like "Why USA can invade Iraq, but we cannot invade Ukraine? Are we not exceptional enough?". "Am I a trembling creature, or do I have the right?" (Crime and Punishment: "Тварь ли я дрожащая или право имею?") But it is obviously stupid and we are all had read Dostoevsky as teens, we know it is stupid and ends with a deserved punishment. So it is reduced to "what about..." which sounds less stupid and allows to change topic of the discussion.
