When I was a kid, being invited over to watch your friend play a single player game was the peak of lameness. Streaming culture seems very odd to me unless there’s something noteworthy about the streamer.
- skydhash 5y agoI would say it's like watching any show about sport in general. Sometimes, you root for the person to win. Other times, you can learn something new by watching the streamer. And it can just be entertaining as watching a reality show.
- tshaddox 5y agoQuite the contrary, I would say. I watch videos of people playing video games when there is something special about the video game, but (for any of several reasons) I know I won’t be playing the video game myself any time soon.
