Writing good quality content is good enough SEO on its own. People don't really write to please Google anymore, and prefer to get their traffic from social media platforms & newsletters instead. The problem with SEO is it forces you to game search algorithms, and before you know it you're buying back links off Fiverr and doing keyword stuffing. Just consistently churn out high quality content that is structured well, and has tags & categories for it, then syndicate out to social media, and you're golden.
