Can this be used to disable auto playing ads and news?
- whalesalad 5y agoPress the buttons along the right hand side from top to bottom in sequence. It usually works. Only failed me once at a station who was clearly intent on wild amenities and overkill experience.
- hereforphone 5y agoIt fails a lot more often now. They've caught on.

- PaulDavisThe1st 5y agoSame story. 2 years ago, 2nd button from top on right side was always "mute". Now it never works in any pump I've tried. Disappointing.
- robbedpeter 5y agoMost of the pumps I've interacted with have blank buttons near the display. In my region, the mute button is second down from the top right. Mash the unlabeled buttons though, and you'll probably find mute.
- noaheverett 5y agoCan confirm this too, second down from top right is the mute button (in the south-east US at least)
- swarnie 5y agoWait.... Your petrol pumps have adverts on them?
- joncrane 5y agoPeople act like this is new but it's been around for at least ten years where I live (near Washington DC).
- swarnie 5y agoI think its not super common in the 94% of the world which isn't America hence why people are confused. Here you just select if you want to pay by card at the pump or at the desk and away you go.
- DangitBobby 5y agoA lot of the new ones do, yes. Sometimes having low rates of vandalism works against you, it turns out.

- ip26 5y agoI’ve done it, sometimes I buy coffee, use the bathroom, check email- and then I’m on the road again. But that’s actually kind of a fun idea, watch a show or movie in bursts. Thanks! Maybe you look forward to the next charging stop, to find out what happens after the cliffhanger!
