This is the first time we’ve imaged these galaxies. Did we know they were there?

Presumably astronomers knew those blobs were galaxies, but no details could be resolved.
- nullc 5y agoThe spitzer image is 3.6um IR, I think the webb alignment images are at 2um... pretty big difference in resolution just due to the wavelength.
