- marssaxman 5y agoYes, I suppose we could all take a radical pay cut, thereby multiplying the measurement of our savings relative to units of yearly income...
- janandonly 5y agoThat is indeed what I did. I live frugal/cheaply, and am able to save a large relative proportion. This also means that living for a time on government handouts (in case when I would be being fired) is in fact not a big step down in income at all.
- lukas099 5y agoI did not notice that the comment said "2-3 years' salary". I would suggest that a cash cushion that is some multiple of your yearly expenses makes more sense.
