As a rule, accessibility is an afterthought in our industry. I would be more sympathetic to complaints if companies were making an effort. Even large tech companies fail miserably. This just reads like FUD. The cupcake store can afford to install grab bars in its bathrooms; it can afford to hire a competent web designer. Wordpress, Squarespace, Shopify, etc. should all be accessible by default. There is plenty of leeway for reasonable accomodations.
