Netflix prioritizes shows where viewers binge in one go, says a show creator
- jfengel 5y agoThat seems kind of self-defeating. Binge watching is easy to measure, but I would have thought that users who spread their content out over many sessions would bring more revenue. As I understand it, their revenue is mainly subscription, and then it's all-you-can-watch. The more users actually viewing, the more you spend on networking, and then you have to pay to create more content to keep them. They're already producing some content in weekly episodes. That sounds like a good plan for kids' shows, where they really shouldn't be binging TV.
