I've been fascinated by lunar exploration ever since I was a kid. I've been hearing that we're going back to the moon "this decade" (or "this presidential term") all my life. I've become a bit desensitized and cynical about the whole "soon" part in "we're going back to the moon soon". It always seems a decade or more out.... But seeing the SLS out on the launchpad for a mock countdown and reading "If that goes well, the rocket will be declared ready for a mission in which it will send an uncrewed test capsule around the Moon. This could happen in the next couple of months." ~ WOW! That somehow has driven it home that we're actually close this time, now, today, in a way nothing has for years. Very Very exciting!
