There is a budget cap now, so teams have no difference in how much money they have to spend on R&D. All cars the same would be boring and overwhelming, the sport is in large part about the teams and the engineering, the upgrades they bring and the sway between which team is the best. I watch it because I love seeing this excellence at work and i'm not even into cars, I don't drive, so i care less about that.
