Is it me or is this article pure rage bait?
Constant mentions of race, no attempt to even discuss the reason why the state requested that, or the mechanism through which that would even be accomplished...
It just feels like the sole purpose of this article is to ramp up hate and rage against the "evil white state officials beings paid off by Ford to keep the blacks down".

- jdhn 5y agoIt's Jalopnik, which is a Gawker Media owned site. Ragebait is all they know. All the good car writers left years ago.
- ashwagary 5y agoWhat you described is the history of the United States, you seem to be looking for an excuse but there rarely ever was a legitimate one. I guess we can atleast say the "evil white state officials" have evolved enough not to collude with the federal government to bomb or violently attack those citizens and steal their land as they had done many times in the past.
