I quit when I got a collections call for an overdue car payment. I never had a choice to not miss a payment.
Being poor sucks, but this game is trying way to hard to make that point and actually backfires. The contrived situations make me less likely to emphasize with someone who is in that position.
- dbingham 15y agoThe scary thing is that those situations feel contrived to you. But to someone who is actually in that situation this is much closer to reality than you want to believe. Sure, it's been crunched in in time a bit. But the end result is about the same. You can't pull yourself up by your own bootstraps when all your time and energy is spent desperately treading water.
