For me, it would depend on how much I trust/know the other person. If a friend asked to deliver an unsealed envelope, I would do so without looking. Note, there are very few people I would do this for and I'd be asking pointed questions. Under any other circumstance, I'd want to vet what I'm handing over because I don't want to become an accomplice to something illegal.
