There was an HN post a year or so back about the microwave oven used in the lunch room, of a SETI facility, or other radio astronomy setup, that befuddled everyone by interfering with the received signals. No one could detect the source, which occurred at certain 'periodic' times of the day. Until it was tied in with coffee breaks and lunch time.
