My personal experiences say this seems weird. I personally haven't seen people not show up for a scheduled interview. Ghosting afterwards? Extremely common. I can see the Microsoft one being a routine mistake in an overloaded manual process. I have had recruiter working for a large company randomly disappear mid-process because they no longer work there. Took them a while to get back to me.
