For the first time in 2022 I maxed out the 3600x I got when it came out (2018?). And it wasn’t a game, it was my girlfriends R script to do metabarcoding of some bacteria. 100% usage across every core sustained for 15min. However what shocked me was that my base M1 pro was a few minutes faster. (Same amount of ram) Still fast enough that it’s not worth an upgrade, but we’ll see once she starts transcriptomix
