In Denmark (EU) we are currently switching timezones twice a years, which is a huge PITA for people like me with a sensitive circadian cycle.
The EU has opened for the individual countries in the EU to settle on permanent DST or permanent normal time.
In order of preference I choose:
1. permanent normal time
2. permanent summer time
3. switching between normal time and summer time twice a year
- CannisterFlux 5y agoThe EU directive kind of fizzled out because of Covid. It was meant to be decided in 2021, this year we were not going to change the clocks. But the negotiations are stuck in bureaucratic limbo. I don't really mind moving the clocks twice a year, it keeps things interesting at least, but now that the US has voted to stop doing it I imagine the rest of the world will follow. Or maybe the EU will decide to keep switching, just to be seen to not copy the Americans.
