For me this was an interesting article, as I suffer from migraine, perhaps once a month. But for me it's not as bad as the migraine of the author. For example I don't experience vomiting.
My migraine might have a genetic cause as well, I know my mother suffered from migraine attacks as well. I hope our daughter won't inherit the migraine for me, I wonder if by some age we can know. When I was young I often experienced headaches, I don't believe at the time it was migraine, but perhaps it was.
I do know most of the time my migraines are triggered by stress. Which in my case is often work-related stress. As such, I do hope at some point to become fully self-reliant (maybe live from investments and just work on my hobby projects), which would pretty much eliminate all stress in my life.
With that said though, my girlfriend told me here in Thailand, in the city of Pattaya, is a masseur who apparently removed migraines for several people, so it's something I should try. Also, in Chiang Mai there's a doctor practicing Chinese medicine for which some people have claimed he cured migraines as well. But he uses some kind of acupuncture in the head from what I understand and it does cause I little bit of bleeding. To me this sounds kinda risky, so I haven't bothered yet.
Then there's some fora on internet in which people have claimed psychedelic mushrooms (low doses) can reduce or even cure migraines, but might not work for everyone. Again, might be a nice option to try if you can legally buy psychedelic mushrooms in your country.
