Vote for a direct democracy then… amend the constitution, state constitution, etc. Many cities have votes on these things. The city I left didn’t fund stadiums, but wasted money on all sorts of other crap. You can always vote with your feet. You don’t have to pay for a stadium if you don’t want to.
