it stopped being "significantly" better a long time ago. The bitrate used to be much higher than YouTube but now they are similar. People only keep repeating this because it was true in the earlier days of HD video hosting.
- voltaireodactyl 5y agoTrue, but bitrate is only one part of the equation, and not the biggest factor for creative work. Preserving color space, frame rate, etc are of higher importance to anyone other than editors and the most-technical of DPs.
