Going from an led (with local dimming zones) to OLED (LG C1) has completely changed how I feel about 'too dark' content on my home television. I now appreciate scene lighting much more than before, so much detail is lost trying to balance back lighting to a room and comfort. I remember having to rewind a bit of a Mr. Robot ep because I started to notice trivial background details in a dark scene to the point I was distracted. The experience was sort of like moving to a higher end surround sound system and clearly hearing everything.
