The British army actually dosed soldiers with LSD to see how they'd perform in drills. Needless to say the result was hilarious (climbing trees to feed the birds, incapable of reading maps) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ziqpwkhqTRs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ziqpwkhqTRs Not sure if I'd trust people tripping around ballistic missiles though. These guys have been living in rough conditions, underfed and sleep deprived ... not the best "setting".

Having used LSD a number of times many years ago, and having been in the US Army in a war zone, I can say that combat is most certainly not a place for people on LSD. For either side.
