Ukraine War – Where Is the US Navy?
- tomohawk 5y agoThis is less about the Navy, and much more about Information Operations.
- simonblack 5y agoJust like the no-fly zone is a non-starter in this war, because that would mean that US and NATO planes become immediate targets, the use of the US Navy in fighting Russian forces would mean that US Navy ships everywhere become immediate targets too. Many missile commanders all over the world are just itching for the sight of what happens to an aircraft carrier that gets hit by 'carrier killer' missiles. Just as the aircraft carrier made obsolete the world's battleships, the anti-shipping long-range missile has made obsolete the world's aircraft carriers. We just need to see it happen, just as we saw what happened to battleships in 1940 and 1941.
