Not that I'm necessarily against such a thing. Food price stability is very important, and farm subsidies are an important way that we ensure it in the USA.
- rossdavidh 5y agoWell yes, but in a particular way that increases production of fertilizer locally, which not all subsidies for farmers do.
- ep103 5y agoFarmers, in turn, vote for "Small Government" because they don't like people living off welfare. smh
- ct0 5y agoI don't like the line of thinking here. You're saying farmers are the same as those receiving welfare, its not fair to either group. Farmers receive subsidies for the greater good especially of those eating the products of their work.
- kevin_thibedeau 5y agoIt's the cognitive dissonance of a certain party that equates socialism with evil when it's distributed fairly but a necessity when influential special interests receive a benefit.
