  actually I looked into the source of the credit card form before buying. It shows braintree was used ;-)

  Check out this tutorial on stripe. It has a pretty clear step by step instructions on how to get it work with Ruby. In fact, only slight modification needed to make it work with Rails. But, if you are interested, I can write a blog post about it.
