Last year I tried to launch something like a dozen small companies based on an "MVP" or 80/20 approach.
The hypothesis being that even if not a full 80/20 split, I could ~probably~ catch 50% of the value by catering to the core 20% of features.
This was completely incorrect. I made 12 things that made ~no money.
SaaS is by no means saturated, but it is mature enough that you can't just crank out crap and make money.
Buyers are sophisticated
