Like I said, it's not bad at all on an M1 (or other machines aimed at professional developers). A lot of the project's contributors are hobbyists or using less overpowered hardware, though, which is why the project has taken steps to try to make it better for the common cases (CI machines can also be an issue). But there's a huge difference between acknowledging it's a problem, and trying to somehow claim that it rules out Rust for game development (Veloren is an existence proof that this is not the case!).
