I honestly thought this would be the year we would be free of covid disruption (to a larger extent). Each year in 202x has introduced a new curveball.

  Past pandemics have taken 3 years to fully play out, we are just starting that third year. China has a zero covid policy and quickly locks down. Expect this type of thing until they accept the endemic nature of the virus. Covid is forever now. Also, possibly new variant emerging in US/UK (Delticron or something like that, having genes in common with both delta and omicron)

    Where i come from Corona is now just another disease, ie. it does not get any special attention anymore.

    That's true. Its more that covid dragged a bit (as China with their lock down has meant it will still be relevant for a while there). The war in Ukraine while not covid related being the latest curveball. Let's hope 2023 brings utopian peace and cures for cancer.
