While I see some truth in your argument I disagree one the whole. I am a parent and a teacher and I think the process is very different. Yes I sometimes differ from how I thought I would raise my children, but only in the details. Now with teaching the problem is that you have to deal with all the kids/adults that were raised in ways that you strongly disagree with.
