Oh this is the most perfect description of the second worst trend in cinema.
The worst trend being loud music and mumbled dialogue that make it impossible to experience even as a radio drama.
- firecall 5y agoSo often I cannot understand what people are saying! As an examples, I was watching the show '1883' and half the time I cannot understand the dialog! Now I have the most expensive best new Sony 65" you can buy, so I'd expect the sound to be at least half decent. So it's not my out-of-the-box speakers. I feel like I'm constantly having to turn the TV up! Some Googling had people on forums suggesting it's 'muddy mixing' whatever that is, and that shows are now mixed for Surround Sound. However when I watch a 'normal' TV show like South Park or an average British SitCom, I can understand every word. The situations is bonkers and its turning me off even bothering to try and watch some shows!
