Modi think he needs access to Russia weapons to counter Chineses support of Pakistan. Also, the BJP is a neo-fasist organisation than does not care about Indians let alone anyone else.
- ridiculous_leke 5y agoIt's not just Modi. All major parties and people in general are on board with this. Modi is probably the most pro-West Prime Minister India had till now and, centrist/left-wing parties are significantly more pro-Russia.
- kumarharsh 5y agoI think you need to read more or change your source of news. India has made the most progress in the past decade than under most previous governments. Just recently there were regional elections which were won overwhelmingly by the party due to their socialist work in fixing some long-standing basic problems like guarenteed clean water to each home, electricity, free rations during COVID lockdowns, etc in one of the poorest states (by per-capita GDP).
