Change the default ssh port. Most of the attacks are from automated crawlers that try to brute force port 22. Your logs will become much more manageable.

- daneel_w 5y agoI do the same. There's no need at all for my own system's sshd to adhere to any notion of well known ports. Despite the growing availability of pre-mapped host information I can still count the amount of illicit login attempts the past 10 years on two hands.
