App store had revenues of 64 billion in 2020. Its a pure profit center.
There are means Apple can take to help make this experience better, but it all requires them to do some effort and spend some money. Which in turn will drive down profits. So they don't want to, and frankly, there's no need for them to.
Stories like yours and the OPs don't stop people from buying Apple and making apps. As long as that pipeline is full of incoming money, why should Apple change how they do things?
