I live in Thailand and the situation here is much the same as many western countries. Omicron is spread widely, and people are still taking precautions (mask wearing is almost universal) but there's no lockdowns. Traveling here is fine apart from the risks of catching COVID but that's no different to most other parts of the world. It's not like China at all.
