One funny thing is that when this happened to me I'd just submit the exact same build again and it would magically be accepted... Because of things like this I have no regret of using A/B testing as a way to slip features that were previously rejected for god-knows-why into the App Store. While this is obviously forbidden by the rules, it just seems like an appropriate way to respond to this shitty review system. As you mentioned, the worst part is that the comments section is completely useless.
