Euh, Russia is bringing in other nationalities ( eg. Syria, ... ) and CSTO now ( but eg. Kazakhstan denied ) Russia invaded and started a war. Russia is threatening with nukes. I would say that supplying arms like was done in the past and Russia was going in other countries isn't even relevant. It's Ukranians, a recent new democracy that needs help fending of a bully that thinks it's own the right to occupy the country because it's in it's "sphere of influence". While obviously Ukrainians are currently fighting for their life against that influence and "historical bounds". Ps. Russia didn't think those bound where that important in Turkmenistan in the past. So they are not really consistent either.
