- comatose_kid 18y agoI agree. It's bad enough that there are articles about the economy, and adding politics to the mix isn't helping the SNR.
- Alex3917 18y agoI disagree. Even the worst stuff on Edge is more intellectual than 95% of the stuff that gets posted here.
- comatose_kid 18y agoI never claimed Edge wasn't intellectual. Just that my hacker side is not at all interested in reading about politics here, regardless of the source.
- Alex3917 18y agoIt's not really about politics, it's about the cognitive basis behind people being gemeinschaft or gesellschaft. The title is really just a red herring to get people to read the essay.

It might be fashionable to say that you are not "into" politics and go about putting green symbols on your website, but politics how ever slimy and unwholesome and unfashionable could have saved 100,000 + 4000 people from being dead without any reason. That point aside, the article is about how to hack peoples minds. (short ans: by making a sincere effort to understand them)
