they behead all of them?
- worker767424 5y agoThere are worse ways to go. You'd lose consciousness in just a few seconds from a sudden drop in blood pressure.
- Ekaros 5y agoI think most execution methods are worse... Some might be better, but generally they are not used...
- CodeGlitch 5y agoAs long as it's in one cut. Multiple cuts would be horrific.
- oblio 5y agoDidn't we invent a device that took care of this problem? About 300 years ago?
- RobertMiller 5y ago*230 years ago. But nobody uses guillotines anymore. The Saudis use a sword.
- oblio 5y agoThat was my point, why be so barbaric even in the method of execution, when we created a cleaner solution for this back in the day of the horse and buggy?
- kevin_thibedeau 5y agoHappened to Mishima when his second couldn't cut after he'd opened up his belly.
- euroderf 5y agoUsed to happen a lot at the end of a long beheading workday.
- lb1lf 5y ago-While true, it would presumably be even better to not be executed in the first place - whether the execution takes place in Saudi Arabia, the US or any of the handful of countries still having the death penalty on its books.
- bostonsre 5y agoI guess it depends on the conditions in the jail. Death could be merciful if the conditions are too bad.
- dlp211 5y agoThere are worst things than death, and everyone should consider what the alternative here is. I am absolutely against execution, but I also have zero agency over what Saudi Arabia is going to do to its prisoners, and when I consider the alternative, this is to me the preferable outcome.
- xwdv 5y agoI think being beheaded at least is an interesting way to die for those who are scientifically curious. Injections just put you to sleep and other methods like being shot or electrocuted might be too painful to make observations.
- happytoexplain 5y agoDo we know anything about whether severing the spine at the neck would be painful or not? I sometimes wonder if they experience intense pain in those final seconds.
- GuardianCaveman 5y agoYes in al-deera square aka chop chop square. It’s a public execution and done with great gusto. It’s pretty horrible.
