- shkkmo 5y agoJust because hurricanes don't typically hit an area doesn't mean they won't (especially as climate change shifts global weather patterns). I was in northern Costa Rica when hurricane Otto hit the Nicaragua / Costa Rica border. This was the first hurricane we have a record of hitting Costa Rica.
