- stickfigure 5y agoThe PLA cannot simply march to Taiwan. There will be no surprises there.
- meowfly 5y agoI of course might be wrong, but it seems Taiwan will not be invaded until the TSMC/UMC is no longer dominating the global supply of semiconductors. The rules changed for Hong Kong, for example, because it went from being 15% of China GDP in 2000 to <2.5% today.
- NhanH 5y agoLuckily, due to the structure of the CCP, even Xi won’t be able to unilaterally do it alone. If it happens, it will have to be the will of the CCP as a whole (basically, Xi + 6 other high ranking members)
