Your Next Uber ride will have an extra fee for gas – even if it’s in an EV
- crackercrews 5y ago> customers will pay a surcharge of either $0.45 or $0.55 on each Uber trip Why is this a fixed fee instead of per mile?
- lhorie 5y agoEasier to roll out, is my guess.

- Khelavaster 5y agoObviously not an extra gas fee since it isn't even per-mile. Reeks of incompetence.
- KyeRussell 5y agoI use Uber and UE a lot, and my partner’s done some UE work. In my experience, Uber’s decisions which kinda seem like incompetence end up looking more like highly calculated manipulations.
- crackercrews 5y agoWhat calculated manipulation would lead to this policy?
- grapescheesee 5y agoShould have just made tiers and buckets per mile or time. At least for the ride share side. I have been using Uber_and UE daily for the last few months. My 40 min ride is not the same as my one mile food delivery. One is a car, the other is a moped. The uber eats side will come out far better off in terms of fee generation. Also, I do not see this going away. In fact I see the opposite happening.
