The sad part is: both Democrats and Republicans are beholden to the corporations, and not to the voters. Every law that gets passed has these hidden loopholes and exemptions that benefit a select few corporations. Who puts these loopholes in? This is all done surreptitiously, and I've yet to see any accounting for these loopholes. What we need is a Wiki-like system while drafting legislation, so that every edit can be tracked to the author(s).
