  If it was, wouldn't it have been a better idea to load up on foreign debt just before launching the invasion? I haven't seen anything to indicate anything of the sort happened.

    Putin only told his chief spy (and others on so called security council) three days in advance on Monday. I doubt anyone in finance/banking knew anything before wedn night if not thu morning

      Then how did US intelligence pick up on invasion plans weeks before?

        No idea, ask them. Troops movement on the ground and intercepted military comms would be my guess. Also they were off by like a week
