I'd actually quite like something that gave a subtle indication that "the work day is coming to a close"... I've used f.lux for a long time, but it kicks in in the middle of the afternoon in winter and probably about bedtime in summer!

I changed the location in f.lux to somewhere south-west of where I am. Yes it gets dark at 3pm in Sweden in winter. That doesn't mean it's anywhere near bedtime.

Use os x built in night shift feature, there you can set the schedule.
